U.S. Trade Representative Confirms That Access to the TN Visa Classification for Citizens of Mexico and Canada will remain unchanged under the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). In a January 29, 2019, statement issued by the U.S. Trade Representative on changes required to bring the U.S. into compliance with its obligations under the renegotiated NAFTA, or USMCA, the U.S. government confirmed that the USMCA does not require changes to U.S. immigration laws nor does it change access to visas under the Immigration and Nationality Act
