Chrissie Fernandez

Chrissie Fernandez moved to Portland, Maine from Islamorada, Florida in 2021. Chrissie received her B.A. from the University of Florida and her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. Chrissie worked as an assistant public defender trial attorney in Florida for seven years. She also previously interned at Gulfcoast Legal Services in Florida helping low-income individuals seeking U visa and VAWA classification under U.S. immigration law. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Chrissie’s primary focus is on family-sponsored immigration, deportation defense, citizenship, and political asylum. She is fluent in Spanish and is an avid traveler, having visited over 20 countries and always looking to see more.
