Ralph A. Humiston

Ralph A. Humiston joined Landis Arn & Jaynes in November 2020. Ralph handles immigration matters across the full spectrum of U.S. immigration law, including family- and business-related matters as well as individual cases and removal defense. Ralph graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law, where he received the Scholastic Achievement Award in immigration law upon graduating. He was also awarded the pro bono student award in recognition for his volunteer work with the legal clinic at the Southern Maine Workers’ Center. During law school, Ralph focused his efforts on immigration law. He participated extensively in Maine Law’s Refugee and Human Rights Clinic representing immigrants seeking various forms of humanitarian relief and initiated the Clinic’s Strafford Detention Project to provide legal consultations for non-citizens seeking immigration bond and removal relief. Ralph also was a law clerk at The Jackson Laboratory, an independent nonprofit biomedical research center, where he worked on immigration compliance and global mobility solutions for non-citizen employees. Prior to law school, Ralph received his B.A. from Dickinson College where his research on the destabilizing effects of foreign aid on weakened democracies was published in Dickinson College’s Journal of International Studies.
