The U.S. has imposed new limits on electronic devices carried on board certain foreign-operated airlines with flights arriving directly from 10 airports in 8 countries. The restrictions prohibit devices larger than a cell phone from the cabin and require that they be placed in checked baggage. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has further clarified that any passenger, regardless of citizenship, flying through or from the 10 named airports, will have to place electronic devices larger than a cell phone in their checked bags.
