“STOP Notario Fraud!” – December 15, 2014 – American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Issues Warning to Public Regarding the Risks of Working With Unauthorized Immigration Consultants and Other Unlicensed Individuals

In light of the executive action on immigration announced in November by President Obama, the American Immigration Lawyers Association has issued a new Public Service Announcement (PSA) in order to warn consumers about notarios and scammers trying to take advantage of the recently introduced reforms. This “STOP!” PSA follows previous warnings from AILA and from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which has previously issued advisements to “Avoid Scams” and “Report Immigration Scams.”
